A 36 hour session on a syndicate water produced this beautiful 41.4lb Mirror Carp for Chris Lowe.

Chub Carp Academy Member Chris, from West Bromwich landed this Mirror using a 13ft 3.5lb Chub Vantage rod.

Mainline was 15lb Pro Gold, with a 25lb suffix heavy skin hook link, 3oz pear lead on a lead clip and a size 8 korda wide gape hook.

The successful bait was a - 14mm SBS lobworm bottom bait and the monster fish was caught over 3kg of spod mix. The fish came from a spot close to the edge of the weed bed at 40 yards range.

The water had been proving difficult for a number of anglers this year but Chris has managed to catch consistently over a number of sessions.
