Lake record falls at Genets – 51lb mirror
A new lake record & pb for Nottingham carp angler Neil Bexon graced the banks of Les Genêts, France, at 05.30am on Thursday 21st May.
A 70 yard cast to the far margin produced the 51lb mirror which didn’t give up easily giving Neil a very spirited tussle of 25 minutes. Neil had been feeding CC Moore Odyssey XXX boilie over betaine pellet, fishing a single 18mm bait on a 10" Korda Hybrid soft hooklink to a size 6 Korda kurv shank B hook.

Jim Richardson’s party fished Island Lake, France, May 16th , and they banked 22 cracking fish.
Luke Schofield was top rod with 2 x 50s and a lake record mirror of 61lb 4oz. He also caught 2 other 30lb+ fish.
In addition to Luke’s catch there were another 4 x 50’s, 6 x 40’s (including a 49.10 common) and 7 x 30’s. Cracking fishing!
